Schoemans Office Systems (Pty) Ltd was established in 1960 as an office equipment company, originally distributing Olivetti typewriters.
The company, which its CEO Theo Schoeman describes as truly Namibian, has developed in its field during the last 48 years, and is presently still a market leader in ICT in Namibia. All its assets are in Namibia, with a history of dedicated commitment and support to Namibian government, professions and business undertakings.
We have over the last 48 years managed to remain at the forefront of the IT industry because we had the vision of where we wanted to go, and we have some of the world’s best products. We do not have an egotistical approach to business. Whatever we gain we share with the people of Namibia. In addition we have successfully completed projects in Zambia, Botswana and Angola.
Schoemans Office Systems has the most comprehensive and innovative solutions to take businesses into the age of knowledge successfully, and has forged partnerships with world leaders in the industry such as Microsoft, Dell, IBM, HP, Pitney Bowes and Global Communications.
Through Schoeman’s offices in Windhoek, with branches in Walvis Bay, Swakopmund, Oranjemund and Oshakati, the company supports their systems. We currently employ 70 people (all Namibians with only one exception) and we have a good support infrastructure. Because the company started off as an office equipment company, the current convergence of technologies places Schoemans in a unique position to be able to provide the glue that binds the different technologies together into working solutions.
Schoemans are the sole distributors for Dell computers in Namibia. Microsoft and Dell are the world leaders in IT solutions.
We import most of our equipment directly from the factories where possible. Schoemans thereby delivers the latest quality technology with excellent price performance.
